Elizabeth I Video

Posted By claire on January 13, 2011

I posted the “Henry VIII (“Money, Money, Money” by ABBA)” video by historyteachers, a group of history teachers from Hawaii, a while ago but I didn’t realise that they had done a video on Elizabeth I. Here it is:-

There videos on the Spanish Inquisition, Martin Luther and the Renaissance are also brilliant so do check out their YouTube channel at historyteachers. Their aim is to make history fun and I think they’ve achieved that! Enjoy!

This was one of my favorite songs back in the 60’s (shows my age!), so I really got a kick out of this video. This is a great way for the younger generations to really get into Tudor History, and have a lot of fun doing it. Bravo to the makers of these videos, and I hope they do more, especially on the Tudors! (One thing though-I wish they showed more of Elizabeth and less of the singer in the video).

Well, this is just too cute! And what a great way to introduce kids to history. Oh, if they only knew what went on, they’d be reading history books because, inthe case of the Tudors, truth really is stranger and more interesting than fiction!!

Videos sound like a great idea but there is just a white square on the website where the video should be?

I’ve just checked and I can see it and play it so that’s rather odd. You can find it at http://youtube.googleapis.com/v/BegQ3WOgFhM?fs=1&hl=en_GB
