Who do you think did the best job of portraying Elizabeth on film? I just finished watching Glenda Jackson in “Elizabeth R” for the second time, and I think Glenda was spot on in her portrayal of Elizabeth-simply the best!

I love Glenda Jackson, but I also love Helen Mirren as Elizabeth and Jeremy Irons as Dudley in "Elizabeth I" which is a brilliant series.

    They were all wonderful and worth mention them;
    Glenda Jackson, Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren and Anne Marie Duff.
    Among them is difficult to choose the best because I am great actress, and each gave body and soul to the character. And this is the miracle, the plaintiffs, although all were incredibly authoritarian and gifts, were able to see each one a different humanity, but at the same time unique and equally credible Queen Elizabeth.

    I think that Glenda Jackson did the best portrayal od Elizabeth R…………
    She reminds me a lot of Bette Davis..where the role came first……………/

    She didn’t care if it didn’t make her look glamorous,like I say the role came first..

    If you want to see that Queen in real life almost like reality it’s Elizabeth R 8 hours mini series. Glenda Jackson became the Queen and all the other actors were perfect like reality even the music and clothes and everything was so realistic going by history.
