I was lucky enough to grow up near Stratford-upon-Avon and to be able to see performances of some of Shakespeare’s plays at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre. My favourite was Macbeth starring Jonathan Pryce as Macbeth and Sinead Cusack as Lady Macbeth – incredible!

Great! Macbeth was also my favourite in the 80s (or at least the Polanski film, next to Richard III/Olivier). I also saw Sinead Cusack as Lady Macbeth in London in a costume-free and decoration-free performance; I didn’t understand that much then, so it was a bit boring, but London was so amazing!
